Synchronized skating at Rocky Mountain Figure Skating Club began officially in 1989 when 12 scared little girls skating as the "Rocky Mountain Sparklers" competed at the Intermediate level at the 1989 Midwestern/National Championships in Rhode Island.

The program few and added the "Firecrackers" Juvenile team and later the "Dynamite" Senior team.

The Intermediate team first qualified for Nationals in 1991 in Anchorage, Alaska. Since 1991, RMFSC has sent at least one team to Nationals every year.

In 1997 the teams changed their name to "Team Allure." The Masters team was formed in 1999. The year 2005 marked another name change to "La Furia" which portrays the strength and fierce determination we hope our skaters will show.

In 2006, the Masters team won RMFSC's first ever Synchro National medal - a Bronze, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

In 2007, the La Furia and Columbine Wildflowers teams merged, forming Colorado's largest synchronized skating program. La Furia currently offers 6 team levels and ages from 5 to 70.
